Malcolm Gladwell joined late-night host Jimmy Kimmel on Jimmy Kimmel Live! to talk about creating his new immersive audiobook, The Bomber Mafia, and also to tease Season 6 of his podcast Revisionist History, which will be released in June.
“I don't think calling it an audiobook really even explains what it is because it's this combination of radio drama, narrated book, and also with real first-person interviews mixed in—and sound effects and music,” Kimmel remarked of The Bomber Mafia audiobook.
The Bomber Mafia
Malcolm Gladwell
Malcolm Gladwell examines one of the greatest moral challenges in modern American history.
VIEW AUDIOBOOKThe Bomber Mafia is a riveting tale of persistence, innovation, and the incalculable wages of war. It uses original interviews and archival footage to weave together the stories of a Dutch genius and his homemade computer, a band of brothers in central Alabama, a British psychopath, and pyromaniacal chemists at Harvard and explore the question: What if precision bombing could cripple the enemy and make war far less lethal?
Jimmy Kimmel admitted his typical inclination is to go for the hardcover, but not this time. “I think people should listen to the audiobook,” he encouraged.
Malcolm also took a few moments to tease a big topic that is set to take up three full episodes of Revisionist History when Season 6 drops this summer.

VIEW SHOW“The signature of this season of Revisionist History is three episodes — three, Jimmy — on The Little Mermaid... on the cinematic dumpster fire that is The Little Mermaid, in which I tear that movie to shreds and show the world how to make it better,” Malcolm revealed with a laugh.
“I have more time on The Little Mermaid than The Little Mermaid,” he added. “I totally lose my mind.”
