Stephen Marche, creator of Death of an Author, is a novelist and essayist. He wrote his first algorithmically generated story for Wired in 2017, and has written about artificial intelligence for The New Yorker, The Atlantic, and The New York Times. His books include The Next Civil War and On Writing and Failure. He lives in Toronto with his wife and children.
